We are constantly looking for undergraduate, Masters, Ph.D., and postdoctoral researchers to participate in the development of image-guided intervention and training techniques and systems. The incumbent will have excellent collaborative opportunities with a diverse group of multidisciplinary researchers and clinical collaborators.
Undergraduate Students
We are constantly looking for undergraduate research students with an interest in medical image analysis, computer-assisted surgery and software development. Please email a transcript and CV to Prof Fichtinger (fichting@queensu.ca) for initial evaluation. Prospective applicants will be interviewed by the senior Perk Lab team and asked to send code samples (Python, C++), project portfolio, demos, etc.
Graduate Students
We are looking for PhD and MS students with interest and experience in the following areas:
– Medical Image Computing
– Computer Assisted Intervention
– Image Processing
– Computer Vision
– Visualization
– Medical Robotics
– Bio-instrumentation
– Medical Imaging and Intervention

Postdoctoral Researchers
The Percutaneous Surgery Lab (Perk Lab) is looking for postdoctoral researchers to participate in the development of image-guided intervention and training techniques and systems. The incumbent will have excellent collaborative opportunities with a diverse group of multidisciplinary researchers and clinical collaborators.
We look for candidates with a background in one or more of the following domains:
– Computer Vision
– Medical Image-Computing
– Computer-Assisted Interventions
– Medical Robotics
Positions are open for an initial duration of 12 months, starting immediately and it will be renewable annually depending on performance.
